While We Were Young

The weekends are for brunching right? Thanks to the NYC Brunch Squad, I was able to do just that at the cutest spot in the West Village.

The decor in While We Were Young is so dreamy! The booths are covered in lilac velvet and everything has a spring vibe to it (think flowers everywhere). I will say the space was a lot smaller than photos led me to believe. Thankfully they had reserved the entire restaurant for us, otherwise I can’t imagine what the wait would be like for 26 people!

Their menu was tweaked a little for our private party, but let me tell you, everything looked wonderful! I ordered their omelette and it was heavenly! It’s full of herbs, sweet peppers and ricotta cheese. The chicken and waffles smelled divine and the avocado toast was a work of art. Everyone at my table was veryyy pleased with their meal.

To drink (because, well, brunch) I ordered “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird” and it came in the cutest bird glass. I’m seriously impressed with their drink names and how they’re presented! The drinks are all very clever (plus they taste amazing). A few of their other beautiful cocktails are below. (The Mile High Club was a second fave – so cute!)

I highly recommend checking out While We Were Young if you’re looking for brunch in the West Village. You definitely won’t regret it!

I had such a fun time exploring the West Village and trying out this restaurant! I haven’t been able to travel out of the city this year, but it’s important to remember that there’s always something new around the corner.
