2018 Skincare Favorites

Well.. this post is late. And anyone who knows me, knows that I’m usually running late for everything. So, at least this is on brand!

It feels like these days are going by faster and faster. I’m already halfway to 28! (I CANNOT BELIEVE.) I’m equal parts horrified and oddly excited.

Since I’m getting older, I thought I’d round up the products I relied on this past year to help keep my “youthful” glow. If you’ve read my previous post My Skin Saving Secret, then you know I’ve tried my fair share of products. I’m happy to report that I’ve got a pretty solid routine down.

The below products are the standouts of 2018!

I cannot stop raving about Herbivore Botanicals. The Lapis facial oil is my number #1 favorite skincare product of 2018. If I run out, I instantly notice a difference in my skin. With this oil, I have glowy, dewy skin and can go makeup-less on the weekends.

Their newer product, the Emerald deep moisture glow oil, is another great addition to their line. They just recently released this oil mid-November and I immediately ordered it! It’s been a little over two months now and I have to say, I’m loving it. My skin definitely feels more moisturized and my makeup doesn’t look dry or cakey. I usually have an issue with foundation or concealer in the wintertime… dry weather is brutal on my skin. The Emerald glow oil is definitely a keeper!

I’ve tried multiple face moisturizers the past few years and I’m very happy with Olay whip. I’ve tried both Luminous and Total Effects. Both are great, but I actually notice a glow to my face after using the Luminous cream. It literally looks like I have a natural highlighter on… it took me a few days to realize it was the moisturizer. Apparently I’m not used to products actually delivering on their promises! If you want an added glow, I’d stick with Luminous.

Since I’m constantly dehydrated, chapped lips are a major problem for me. Winter months are the worst. That’s why I’m so happy I found Innisfree’s lip sleeping mask. Technically you’re supposed to put it on at night, but I also love using it in the mornings while I get ready. This is seriously a game changer. I apply chapstick around 2-3 times a day now as opposed to about 50 times (not joking). I’m also excited to explore more Innisfree products this upcoming year. I just discovered this line and have heard amazing things!

Those were my standout skincare products from this past year. Have you tried any of these? I’m trying to keep my routine fairly simple, otherwise I’ll probably slack on doing it daily. I do know that I need to add an eye cream to my routine, so if you have recommendations, I’d love to hear them below! I also want to know what your star skincare products are so I can check them out.

Thanks for reading and keep exploring!

xoxo
