I recently discovered a new clothing brand called Darling. Now, this company has actually been around since 2012, but as the first magazine to not retouch its model’s bodies or faces. Throughout the years the company has evolved but has always tried to stay true to its roots. The company strives to highlight different women and celebrate each woman’s inherent beauty and worth.
They recently expanded into clothing in 2023 and have dropped several collections that focus on quality over quantity. The fit of every piece I own is incredible and you can tell they put a lot of intention behind each design. The company’s message is “you are a work of art” and they hope you remember that whenever you put on one of their pieces.
I’ve only just recently started working with Darling, but I love what they stand for. Each piece I own is of great quality and I can see it lasting for years in my closet. I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces of their current collections! The best part – use code KATIEH for some $$$ off!
- East Coast Blazer – The fit of this blazer is the perfect mix between oversized and flattering. Usually, blazers have a hard time finding that perfect balance – as someone with curves, too boxy and oversized just makes me look bigger, but too slim and it’s not trendy/cool. I loved this one so much that I also got it in the chocolate brown color. 10/10 recommend this as a staple in your wardrobe!
2. Ernest Swearer – this is a new addition for me, but wowww is it cozy! I love the funnel neck also. It’s a great detail that lends some elegance to the shape of this sweater. From the chunkier knit to the flared sleeve, this style is a winner. Easy to wear with jeans, boots, and hoops – this is a great wardrobe staple for winter.
3. Trusty Cable Knit Sweater – I don’t think I can explain my love for this half-zip. It’s so cozy – plus the half-zip makes it trendy, but also something that can stick around. A half-zip sweater has been a thing for decades but seems to be having a resurgence right now. Once that “trend” dies down, this will look perfectly vintage. I have worn this so many times this winter already – it was love at first sight for me!
4. Parade Skirt – Ok, so this is more of a trendy piece, but I couldn’t resist since it matches with the blazer. I can’t usually wear a straight mini-skirt because of my hips/thighs, but I sized up and said a little prayer. Well, I have to say it paid off! This skirt is so cute and I love the pocket details. I just got this in, so I’ll have to snap a picture when I wear it!
5. Sterling Sweater – This sweater comes in the most incredible green color! I have been eyeing this for months and finally snagged it. It’s just as beautiful in person! This is part of a set and I think I need to get the matching pant as well. This would be perfect for lounging around or as an airport outfit. I love that the knit is thick enough that the pant wouldn’t be see-through. This is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to loungewear sets like this! I can’t wait to wear this out and get the pants to complete the set.
