NYC is going through its last heat wave, which means fall is on its way! I have been craving some cooler temps, so I’m very excited for fall to start.
Madewell is one of my favorite stores and they always do fall well, so I wanted to see what they had in stores for their new collection. Check out my try-on below!
First up is the Harlow Pant – they say this is one of their best sellers and I believe it! This pant comes in so many different colors and I can just see this being a favorite for fall. I will say I felt like I was between sizes… the below photo is a size 6 and felt just a tad too tight in my thighs. I have the size 8 on in later photos.
The sweater tank had a nice pattern to it and would be easy to wear in so many different ways. Definitely a good staple piece!

Below is the Harlow Pant in a size 8 which was comfortable, but slightly too large.
I’m also obsessed with this mustard tank paired with this chocolate raisin color. I would suggest sizing down in this top if you want it to fit tight to the body. I thought this rib would have more structure, but it was pretty loose. It had a really high, tight jewel neck, which I loved!

Here’s the Harlow Pant again in color Harvest Moon (size 8). Once again, a great work pant!
I also loved this denim vest. I’m still obsessing over everything denim and I think this will still be huge for fall. I liked the fit of this vest; it was slightly cropped and I liked the hem shape of this one. I’m wearing a size 8. The vest definitely didn’t work with these pants (like I thought they would haha) so maybe this works better with a denim-on-denim look. Could also be very cute left open over a shirt or dress.

Staying with the vest trend, this one would be perfect for airport travel. This was a really soft ribbed knit, so I wouldn’t mind wearing this for several hours traveling. I think I would personally like the “Loden” color better, which is a dark green color. This neutral was very pretty, but not personally my favorite on me!

If you didn’t know, Madewell is currently giving $50 off a new pair of jeans for every pair of jeans you trade-in. Usually, this program gives $25 off, so this is a huge promotion! I brought two pairs in to trade, knowing that I was in the market for a slimmer pair of jeans. The baggy jean trend is great, but having only larger jeans made me feel sloppy in certain circumstances. These 90s straight jeans were exactly what I was looking for. I’m wearing size 29 in the color “Enmore”.
Also, this green sweater vest is adorable! This piece is perfect for pre-fall and then I’ll layer a button-down underneath when it gets colder. Plus, this green color is everythingggg!

Some honorable mentions… I’ve been loving baseball caps this year. It’s very “model off duty” and pair it will the Harlow Pant and tank, *chef’s kiss*.
Also, the jury’s out on ballet flats making a comeback… while the models all look very cool pulling these off, I’m not sure how I feel. I have a little PTSD from back in my teen days with this look. I haven’t decided if I want to hop back on this train yet! I will say I’m loving the update with the strap.
They also had some gorgeous handbags in beautiful colors. Madewell always has great bags though, so this wasn’t a surprise! I was really feeling the zebra calfskin, which is on a mini-sale right now.
