Full Bloom In Central Park

Spring has officially sprung in New York City and it’s always such a beautiful sight! Usually, spring flies by, and before I know it, all the tulips and cherry blossoms are gone. There’s never enough time to stop and smell the flowers if you will (lol). I’ve always loved springtime and seeing the cherry blossom trees always brings me a sense of happiness and calm. I’ve especially needed some more calm moments since the start of this year… it was a rocky first quarter. I knew I had to make some time and take myself out on a little solo date to the park!

The first stop was the Swedish Cottage (Marionette Theater). I quite literally stumbled across this beautiful garden filled with tulips and daffodils. It was so unexpected and tucked away, it felt like a secret little garden!

This garden had so many different types and colors of tulips – it was truly stunning! I think these flowers will be at peak bloom for another two weeks, so if you’re on the west side, you must stop by the Swedish Cottage to see them. The easiest way to get there is to enter at West 81st by the Natural History Museum.

I continued my wandering over to the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. If you’re in the mood, I recommend taking a lap around the Reservoir, but since I was on a mission to find some Cherry Blossoms, I stayed on the west side. I found some gorgeous Ukon white blossoms – there was one tree that framed The El Dorado Building perfectly.

There were so many beautiful cherry blossoms along this pathway! I definitely recommend checking out the west side if you’re on the hunt! It was also nice seeing people out and about again after the long winter season. One of my favorite things to do is listen to music and take long walks throughout the park – a soundtrack to my own personal movie montage.

Have you been able to catch any cherry blossoms this season?

Happy Spring!
