Spring 24 Trends I’m Loving

Some trends last several seasons, and lately, it seems like some last for only a month or two (thanks TikTok). If you try following every trend that pops up, it can get exhausting… not to mention really expensive. I’ve been realizing lately that it’s so important to keep true to your own style. This doesn’t mean you can’t participate in new trends, but I encourage you to only partake in those that actually excite you!

These are some of the Spring 24 trends I want to adopt into my closet!

1. Pops Of Red

I couldn’t get enough of red’s dark, sultry sister (black cherry) this past fall, so I am all in on this trend. I love adding a pop of red to an outfit this spring to really freshen up neutral outfits. I’m not sure why I feel like red is looking so fresh, but it’s so eye-catching that just a piece here and there is all you need. I’m here for red having its moment this year!

Ways I want to wear this trend:
1. Start with accessories – adding a red handbag or bow to my hair will be the easiest way to wear this trend.
2. I would loveee to grab a pair of red shoes. These triple buckle MaryJanes are adorable, but I have a hard time styling this shoe shape. I would opt for a pair of slingback heels instead.
3. A cardigan or top. I love the idea of throwing a cardigan over my shoulders with a neutral outfit. So chic with that pop of color. Another super easy way to wear this, grab a red top! Color can be scary to wear, especially as a major part of your outfit, but you’re going to look so fresh, trust me!

2. Large Totes

NO MORE SMALL BAGS!!! I’m kidding…I love my small bags. However, sometimes it would be nice to not have a purse and a large canvas bag to lug all of my stuff around. Instead of being a bag lady, I’m going to grab a chic, larger bag and add it to my closet. My coworker used to tease me about how small my purses are and you know what, she isn’t wrong! But with this trend, I no longer have to play favorites with what makes it into my purse.

Ways I want to wear this trend:
1. Coach is having a revival and I’m here for it! I was a huge Poppy Coach girl back in the day so I love that Coach is back. Their new designs are so chic and grabbing something in a larger size is an easy way to wear this trend.

2. I’m also loving this half-circle silhouette. Plus since silver is so hot this year, I love the idea of adding it in as an accessory. This bag by Oak + Fort is a showstopper! Plus, the prices on these are so good.

3. A sustainable investment piece. If you find a classic shape bag that you know you will love for years to come – there is nothing wrong with investing in that piece. These Reformation bags are made from quality leather or suede and are sustainably made. These are pieces that will last for years and years and since they are neutrals, they’ll never actually go out of style!

4. Two for one – grab a large bag in red as a statement piece! Like I said earlier, this is probably the easiest way to add red to your wardrobe!

3. Vests

Vests have been trending for a few seasons now and I’m excited to bring them into spring. I would say sweater vests were huge for fall/winter, so I love the idea of going a little more “businessy” with the button-front look.

Ways I want to wear this trend:
1. As a monochromatic set. I just purchased a set from Amazon – I don’t love buying clothing from Amazon, but I saw quite a few good reviews on it. I think this is such a good work look for spring. You can go with a fitted vest or oversized depending on your personal style.

2. Fitted vest as a separate. I feel like there are so many ways to wear a fitted button-up vest. Whether you layer it, keep it buttoned, or leave it open, you can mix and match bottoms for endless options!

4. Novelty Belts

I’ve been making it my personal mission this last year to add more accessories to my closet. They’re always the last thing I think about when I’m shopping, but I truly feel like they help pull an outfit together. While it’s important to have a classic brown and black belt in your closet, I love the idea of having something more fun for spring.

What are some of the spring 24 trends you plan to add to your closet? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
