So this year I was on a hugeeee Christmas Movie kick. I mean, I started watching these back in November! (Clearly I needed some joy.) We all know that these types of movies can either bring the holiday joy, or it can be a real train wreck…. so I thought I’d narrow it down a bit for you. Now, please keep in mind, I am a fan of the cheesy Hallmark genre, so some these will be over the top (aka roll your eyes happy ending).
Let’s do it – a list of my favorite Christmas movies!
Netflix
The Christmas Chronicles (1 & 2)
Jingle Jangle (major Greatest Showman vibes)
The Princess Switch ( 1 & 2 are actually really good!)
A Christmas Prince (the original is my fav, but the others aren’t the worst)
Klaus
Holidate (I’m putting this on here bc it wasn’t a typical holiday movie. I almost didn’t like it, but then when it ended I wanted to immediately rewatch, which is confusing. Also, the guy is SUPER hot, so that may be the deciding factor hahaha)
Dash & Lily (actually a series – super cute!)
Midnight at the Magnolia
The Holiday Calendar
Holiday Home Makeover (if you want some decorating inspo)
A California Christmas
Hallmark
5 Star Christmas (actually immediately texted my friends saying they needed to watch this. I love, love, loveddd it)
Christmas in Vienna
USS Christmas
A Christmas Carousel
Project Christmas Wish (hasn’t aired yet, but has Amanda Schull!!! Ready to relive my Center Stage days)
A Season for Miracles (this one is old, but so good! Like, my family owns it on DVD good)
Amazon
The Polar Express
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Love Actually
Hulu
The Christmas Calendar (different than the Netflix one, but just as cheesy)
The Holiday
A Christmas Movie Christmas
Elf
Jingle All The Way (such a good movie! Arnold Schwarzenegger at his prime haha)
Disney
Home Alone (1 & 2)
The Santa Clause
Miracle on 34th Street
Noelle
I hope this list has inspired you to grab a blanket, some hot chocolate and snuggle in for a movie marathon!
I’d love to hear some of your favorite Christmas movies in the comments below. Enjoy this wonderful time of the year!
xoxo,
Katelynn Ann
Love the list! Honestly can’t say enough about Klaus. I saw USS Christmas—need to hear your thoughts once you’ve watched.
And The Family Stone is always a must watch for me!
