Fall, Can You Hear Me?

I am so. excited. for. fall. Listen, this is HUGE. Wanna know why? I’m usually a summer all year round kinda gal… give me high temps and sunbathing any day. But this year… something’s different. I cannot wait to break out the sweaters and jackets!

Living in Nashville, it seems like fall is still a bit of a ways away. Even though I’m ready for cooler weather, it doesn’t mean Mother Nature is going to reciprocate my feelings. So, to get my fall fix, I’m going to pretend. I’ve put together a few key items that will help transition to fall, but you won’t sweat your ass off in.

1. Short + Sweet Brami
It’s ok to go full sweater early, but just make sure it’s lightweight! I’m
loving this cropped, short-sleeved version for an easy transition.

2. On a Boat Sweater Dress
Rock a slouchy sweater dress without tights for a great transition look.

3. Pollie Mule
Animal print is going to continue through fall (and honestly, it may
never stop), so these mules are perfect to transition from summer to

4. Phoebe Set
This adorable sweater set is not only seasonally appropriate, but it

5. Molly Headband
It may be too soon to be decked out in velvet, but that doesn’t mean
you can’t start incorporating it in small ways. I love this velvet
headband because it hints to what’s to come (i.e. head-to-toe velvet all

6. Lolita Top
First of all, this red color is gorgeous for fall. I own this and can tell you
first hand that it’s just as amazing as the picture. The long sleeves
make it fall-friendly, but the lightweight chiffon fabric is breathable. I
can wear this in 80 degree temps without breaking a sweat! Shop it

7. Super Scrunchie
This ginormous scrunchie is just so fun! There’s really no reason this
can’t be worn year-round, but it’s a new season, so let’s spice up our

8. Skyline Midi Skirt
This skirt is such a great length for the new season. It’s also a super
stretchy, lightweight knit, so it has that sweater/fall vibe without being
too hot. I own this and definitely love it! I sometimes (ok, often but I’m
working on it), feel self-conscious of body-hugging styles, but I

9. Menswear Jacket
It’s time to bust out all the plaid, houndstooth and general menswear
pieces you own! The menswear/power-suit look is going to be huge for
fall. Give everyone a little preview by throwing a plaid blazer over an

10. Come Slither Miniskirt
Once again, animal print is going to be huge for fall! Throw on a
miniskirt with a long sleeve top and bare legs. When fall finally rolls in
(feel free, any day now…), you can throw on some tights and continue
